
Truckee River Yacht Club Founded 1988 Register for the Truckee River Yacht Club	Truckee Meadows Community Flood Coalition Representatives from the Truckee River Yacht Club have been participating in the Truckee Meadows Community Flood Coalition and helping to develop the "living river" flood plan since 1999. The latest adoption of the Truckee Meadows Community Flood Coalition by the Flood Project Coordinating Committee last week ( sends the Community Coalition plan to the Army Corps of Engineers for analysis in the upcoming EIS (to be completed in the next 12 months). The Truckee Meadows Community Flood Coalition finished in 2002 a Flood Plan for the Truckee River to provide flood protection by lowering the flood levels within the Truckee Meadows, add new recreation opportunities with a trail and wetland parks along the river, and improve the river health and water quality by restoring the Truckee River from Vista to Pyramid Lake. In 2004 the Community Coalition reasserted that desire through a public briefing for federal , state, and local officials. The presentation from that meeting is here. Get involved.
